Recent Conference Appearances
June 4-7 | Cambridge, MD
Ben went out to AANP this year to present his recent work Quantitative Morphometric Features Distinguish SOX2+ Tumor Cells from Reactive Gliosis in Glioblastoma. He also ran into one of our previous trainees Pouya who also had a poster!
May 17-20 | Austin, TX
Ben and Sam went to present their abstracts Spatial Heterogeneity of Cellular Composition and Stem Cell Markers Across MRI-Defined Tumor Regions in Glioblastoma and Radio-pathomic correlates of progression free survival in post-treatment glioblastoma patients.
May 15-18 | Washington, D.C.
Savannah had an oral presentation on Imaging-derived radiomic features as predictive markers of Gleason score assessment in prostate cancer.
May 9-14 | Cape Town, South Africa
Savannah went to present posters for herself and Sam, as well as Ben’s oral presentation on Radiopathomic Map Profiles of Cell Density Near Contrast Enhancement Predicts Overall Survival In Glioblastoma
March 15-20 | Fajardo, Puerto Rico
Savannah presented her radio-pathomic maps of prostate cancer. She and Pete ran into some of our collaborating clinicians from the Department of Radiology at MCW.
March 12-14 | Madrid, Spain
We had a huge showing at the ISMRM Workshop on Translational Cancer Imaging: From Acronym to Actuality. Pete and Sam were among the committee of the MR of Cancer working group that planned and organized this entire event.
Biprojt presented Response-Aligned Reaction–Diffusion Modeling Reveals Prognostic Tumor Kinetics in Glioblastoma; Savannah, Aleks, and Ben had posters highlighting their recent studies.
May 17-21 | Philadelphia, PA
The LaViolette Lab had a wildly successful year at ASNR! Sam, Biprojit, Aleks, and Savannah all had oral presentations. Sam and Ben also had posters. Even bigger, Bipro was one of five people who won a Member in Training Travel Award!
May 10-15 | Honolulu, HI
Savannah presented her abstract Radio-pathomic maps of histo-morphometric features trained with whole mount prostate histology distinguish prostate cancer on MP-MRI. After, she and Pete met up with other faculty and students from MCW.
June 19-22 | Minneapolis, MN
Several members of the lab headed up to Minneapolis for AANP. Aleks and Sam presented their abstracts Observation of SOX2 expressing tumor cells invading within the corpus callosum at autopsy in glioblastoma patients and Second-line treatment duration associated with remote SOX2 positivity in glioblastoma pateints at autopsy, respectively. Ben and Daniel also attended to showcase their posters.
November 19-23 | Honolulu, HI
A busy SNO for the lab! Aleks had a poster and rapid oral, Ben had two posters, Bipro had two posters and an oral, Daniel had a poster, and Sam gave a power pitch for his work as well as our Summer 2025 SPUR student Wybie.
April 26-29 | Las Vegas, NV
Savannah had a moderated poster at her first AUA. Her abstract Radio-pathomic maps of histo-morphometric features trained with whole mount prostate histology distinguish prostate cancer on MP-MRI also won the top poster abstract in her session!
